live better
In the lead up to the most wonderful time of the year, we thought you could do with some Christmas movie suggestions to get you into the swing of the festivities.
a *Christmas film-a-day* keeps the winter blues away!

We’re officially in Christmas mode at eve HQ and what better way to kick off the festivities than with a Christmas film countdown. You heard that right, think of an advent calendar but with unlimited treats and you can cosy up (on your eve mattress!) whilst you watch. We’ve put together the perfect list (if we do say so ourselves) so that all you have to do is decide what snack to have and get watching.

December 1st: Arthur Christmas

Whilst this is a newbie in the Christmas film world, it’s fast becoming a favourite. Especially if the kids are getting involved too!

December 2nd: Polar Express

Does this feel-good Christmas film need any introduction? Snuggle up with a hot chocolate and you’ll have all the festive feels.

December 3rd: Love Actually

The ultimate Christmas rom-com. Prepare yourself to laugh, cry and everything in between while enjoying this festive film with a warm mug of cocoa.

December 4th: Home Alone 1

If you’re taking part in elf on the shelf, this Christmas film is sure to give you some inspo on all things mischief!

December 5th: Christmas Chronicles 1 & 2

Again, another recent addition to the Christmas classics. This film follows a sister and brother whose Christmas eve plan to catch Santa in the act goes slightly wrong. We guarantee it will make you smile and laugh! And if you like the first one, we’ve got some good news for you. This Christmas movie has a magical sequel.

December 6th: Miracle on 34th Street

THE Christmas classic that everyone loves. Nothing is more magical than the miracle of Santa Claus being in the real world.

December 7th: Christmas with the Kranks

Skipping Christmas and jetting off on a sunny break sounds great until everything starts to go wrong. Countdown to Christmas with some comedy.

December 8th: Last Christmas

If you love the song ‘Last Christmas’ and all things George Michael, this one’s for you. Follow a Christmas love story with a touching message (you might want to get tissues at the ready!).

December 9th: Deck The Halls

We know all too well the competition of who can have the best (and brightest!) Christmas lights on the street and this comedy takes the competition to a whole new level.

December 10th: Jingle All The Way

What do you do when your child asks for the toy that’s sold out everywhere? Jingle all the way follows a dad who show’s you what not to do when hunting for Christmas presents.

December 11th: The Grinch

Get in the Christmas spirit with the, the, the… The Grinch. You might even get some fresh inspiration for your Elf on the Shelf's Advent antics with this Christmas movie too.

December 12th: The Holiday

Who doesn’t dream of a Christmas just like the holiday? Cosy up in front of the fire and watch the ultimate Christmas rom-com (wine optional!).

December 13th: Home Alone 2

If New York isn’t already on your list, it will be after watching home alone 2. The cruel criminals are back and this time they’re causing chaos in the big apple.

December 14th: Our Little Secret

Brand new for Christmas 2024! If you’re on the look out for a Christmas film that you haven’t already watched then we suggest you add this to the list. After discovering their significant others are siblings, two exes who are anything but civil must spend Christmas under the same roof while trying to hiding their history.

December 15th: Holidate

If you’re single at Christmas, you’ll know all too well about the constant questions from family members but there might be a solution.

December 16th: Spirited

A modern day, musical version of the Charles Dickens story. Ryan Reynolds plays a miserable misanthrope who is taken on a magical journey.

December 17th: Bad Santa

A Santa who doesn’t care if you’re naughty or nice? Sounds fishy to us.

December 18th: Jingle Jangle

Years after being betrayed by his apprentice, a once joyful and talented toy maker finds new hope when his bright young granddaughter arrives to visit and brings a touch of magic with her.

December 19th: Hot Frosty

When lonely widow Cathy accidentally brings a snowman to life, he helps her heal and find love again but there’s one devastating catch – he’s melting!

December 20th: Four Christmasses

When a plan to go abroad for Christmas falls apart. One couple ends up with four family homes to visit, all in one day.

December 21st: The Santa Clause 1 & 2

Whilst encouraging his son to believe in Santa, Scott signs up to a lifetime clause to become the big man himself… forever. Follow Scott in his journey to become the best Santa he can be in films 1 and 2.

December 22nd: National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

We guarantee ‘yule crack up’ when this family's plans for a big Christmas go horribly wrong.

December 23rd: A Christmas Carol

The story that brought the title ‘Scrooge’ to life. An elderly man who despises Christmas (and everything else!) and how he was taught some serious lessons when three spirits visit him.

December 24th: Elf

A family Christmas classic, what better way to finish off your countdown than with everyone’s favourite elf, Buddy. You could even tie this film in with your elf of the shelf departure!
